Oh Yes, Oh Yes It's Springtime!

Not so fast. You may have tulips on the table, but there are still scarves around the neck. I think we’ll get good use out of those wool blankets. Despite all the collective wishes (as I understand Spring is wonderful in Munich), we are looking at rain and temperatures not to exceed 45 degrees F. throughout the week. This shot was taken a few blocks from the Central Station at a funky bar that spills out onto the cold streets.

I have been traveling to Munich for the last five years on business. Everything spills out into the streets. It is one of the most wonderful cities in the world (not that I am a total expert). I will be there in October. Perhaps we can raise a stein!

Is that at Bloom? ... just my guess. It's a beautiful photo that brings a smile to my face.

The photo was taken on Augustenstrasse, between Briennerstrasse and Karlsstrasse. I unfortunately can't remember the name of the bar/cafe. It's amazing how it can represent a million cafes any place in the world though.

Hi Troy,

I am an artist now living in Munich, and I just started a blog.
I really like what you are doing with the Munich Daily Photo blog. Your photos look very professional. What kind of camera are you using? My blog is rather personal, but I am also including info about Munich and Germany, especially focusing on offbeat shops in my neighborhood of Haidhausen, as well as art and cultural happenings in Munich. Please have a look at www.stephanielevy.blogspot.com
My artist's website is www.stephanielevy.com
I have included your link on my list for Munich (I plan to increase the list especially with art and culture links). If you would like to mention my blog or do a reciprocal link, I would be very flattered ;)
Hope to hear from you - my email is stephanielevy@web.de

A friendly gesture, the blankets, even if spring seems only to be wishful thinking. Weather is somewhat similar here in Seattle, too. Mother Nature is a big tease this year -:)

I like this one - looks inviting despite the chill. I remember the first time I sat outside in about 45 degree F weather at a cafe in Germany. We had breakfast and coffee and wrapped ourselves in one of those blankets. It was perfectly fine but I would NEVER in America contemplate sitting outside in weather not in the 75-80 degree range. Either too hot or too cold.
