Storks are said to bring the babies in Germany. The legend began during pagan times in Northern Germany when families would hope to have storks nest on their roof tops to bring fertility. Here a family's home is decorated for its newest addition. Many of the zoos around Germany, including the Hellabrunn Zoo here in Munich have stork habitats where visitors can hear them clapping their bills in between delivering babies to their new homes.
